南京财经大学校史翻译

南京财经大学肇始于1956年，迄今已有68年的历史。60多年来，学校历经数次变迁、七度更名，始终薪火相传、弦歌不辍，为社会发展塑栋梁，为经济腾飞献智慧，取得了辉煌的办学成就。

Nanjing University of Finance and Economics started in 1956 and boasts a history of 68 years. Over the past 60 years, the university has undergone several changes and its name has been changed seven times. The torch of the fine tradition has been passed down from generation to generation, and the songs of harvest has never stopped. NUFE has cultivated hundreds of thousands of talents for the social development, contributed wisdoms for Chinese economic take-off, and made brilliant school-running achievements.

This is the historical evolution map of NUFE, attached with a clear development phases. During this period, the school had undergone the merger of four institutes and colleges and changed its name seven times.

“民以食为天”，学校以粮立校。1956年，五省市联动筹办南京粮食学校，开启了学校办学历史。

1981年，学校更名为南京粮食经济学院，开启本科教学。

1993年，去掉“粮食”二字，更名为南京经济学院，学校转以财经为主要办学方向。

1999年，南京物资学校并入南京经济学院。

2000年，南京经济学院、江苏财经高等专科学校、江苏经济管理干部学院三校合并,筹建南京财经大学。

2003年，南京财经大学正式成立。

"Bread is the stall of life". The school was built on the basis of the food science. With the cooperation among the five provincial-level regions (including Shanghai Municipality) in East China, in 1956, five provinces and municipalities jointly organized to set up the Nanjing Grain School, which opened the history of the school.

In 1981, the school changed its name to Nanjing Institute of Grain Economics and started the undergraduate teaching.

In 1993, the word "Grain" was removed and the school name was changed to Nanjing Institute of Economics. The University turned to put finance and economics as its main direction.

In 1999, Nanjing Material College was merged into Nanjing Institute of Economics.

In 2000, Nanjing Institute of Economics, Jiangsu College of Finance and Economics, and Jiangsu Economic Management Cadre College were merged to make preparations for the setting up of Nanjing University of Finance and Economics.

In 2003, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics was formally established.

学校目前拥有仙林、福建路和桥头3个校区，占地面积3005亩，校舍建筑面积95余万平方米。三个校区互为犄角，各具特色。福建路校区位于人文荟萃、商务繁盛的南京鼓楼区，历史气息浓郁；仙林校区位于快速发展、环境优美的南京仙林大学城，活力十足；桥头校区位于镇江桥头镇，山水形胜、环境幽雅，是读书治学的好地方。仙林校区是学校的主校区。

The University currently is composed of three campuses in Xianlin, Fujian Road and Qiaotou, covering an area of 3,005 acres and a gross floor area of more than 950,000 square meters. The three campuses support and complement each other with their own characteristics. Located in the Gulou District of Nanjing, the Fujian Road Campus is rich in humanities and prosperous in business; Located in the rapidly developing and beautiful Xianlin University Town in Nanjing, Xianlin Campus is full of vitality; Located in Qiaotou Town, Zhenjiang city, Qiaotou Campus is endowed with beautiful landscapes and elegant environment, which makes it a good place to study. Xianlin Campus is the main campus of the University.

校标主色是绛红色和橙黄色。绛红色也叫南财红，体现了南财发展的历史沉淀感，橙黄色代表着学校发展的历史活力。校标的主体是仙林校区的图书馆，上方的球体象征着旭日东升，象征着学校教育事业蓬勃发展，蒸蒸日上。下方是打开的书页，象征着学校的培育人才的教育使命。1956是学校创建的年份。

The main colors of the logo are crimson red and orange yellow. Crimson red is also called NUFE-red, which reflects the historical precipitation of NUFE’s development, and orange-yellow represents the historical vitality of the University’s development. The main body of the University logo is the library of Xianlin Campus. The sphere above symbolizes the rising sun and the flourishing and vigorous development of education. Below is the open page, symbolizing the University's educational mission of nurturing talents. 1956 is the year in which the University was established.

“自谦 自信 务实 超越”是南财的校训，由著名社会学家费孝通先生在93岁时题写。校训是学校育人理念的集中体现，也是每个南财人身上的鲜明的精神烙印。

"Modest, Self-confident, Practical and Excelled" is NUFE’s motto, written by the famous sociologist Fei Xiaotong at the age of 93. The motto is the concentrated expression of the University's idea of education, and also a distinct spiritual imprint on each person in NUFE.
